ADPR apprentice named best in the country!
ADPR apprentice, Kira Daly, 20, has been named Best Apprentice at the annual Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) Internships and Apprenticeships Awards, which were announced virtually last week.
The national awards programme, which is held in conjunction with leading PR trade magazine, PR Week, recognises the best internship and apprenticeship programmes and showcases the exceptional talent in the industry. Quality apprenticeship and internship programmes are vital to the industry’s development and they help to attract and retain the brightest talent from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
Kira impressed the judges with her positive attitude, enthusiasm, creativity and exceptional performance in all elements of her apprenticeship programme. Kira says, “From starting a brand new career in public relations amidst a global pandemic, I never imagined that just a year later I would receive the Best Apprentice Award from the PRCA! I am honoured to achieve such recognition and I owe a great deal to the wonderful team at ADPR and the PRCA for their ongoing support – this industry is one I love and hope to continue to achieve in.”
This is the second year in a row ADPR has been a winner at the PRCA Internships and Apprenticeships Awards. Last year the agency was awarded Best Apprenticeship Employer for its wide-ranging integrated training programme which offers one-of-a-kind, hands-on experiences for its staff such as sailing in Barbados, press trips to Italy and ballistic testing for superyachts thanks to its varied range of clients. Additionally, the judges commended ADPR for its highly supportive culture, commitment to diversity and inclusion, and the retention of its staff.
ADPR’s Managing Director, Kate O’Sullivan, adds, “We are so proud of Kira for winning Best Apprentice. From the start of her apprenticeship, she has excelled in each area of her role. She is extremely hard working and has impressed us all with her work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in. Providing a culture of opportunity is one of our core values and we are wholly committed to developing talent by offering a variety of routes for people looking to enter the PR profession.”
ADPR currently has vacancies for a Senior PR Account Executive, a Graduate Account Executive and a PR apprentice. Details can be found on the ADPR website www.adpr.co.uk or email hello@adpr.co.uk.
